Tuesday September 18th, 2012 Dear Jason Kenney, It’s 12:30 am on Tuesday September 18th. I became aware of Fatemeh (Sara) Darakhshandeh and her 16 year old son deportations few hours ago. How could I go home to find my family and rest when knowing the hell that this mother is going through now? I was really chocked to see that your administration continues to deport innocent refugees to Iran after the closure of embassies. Iranian regime should be really humiliated and mad. Who is going to pay the consequence? Of course poor Sara and her son who fled their homeland country to find refuge in Canada, a country reputed for its human rights values. No matter how we respect the laws in Canada we should keep in mind that human lives have priority over all. It is not fair and wise to take the risk at these sensitive moments and send them back to Iran. Sara’s and her son presence in Canada is not going to harm anyone. Your administration could wait a little more and choose a better time to deport this mother and her son. I beg you to take just a moment and contemplate about this case. Please do not consider them just as 2 names and numbers for your office statistic. They have their family living here who are suffering and feeling as bad as them. Give them another chance and make our community happy in this rough current situation.
Sincerely, _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |

Medi's
letter to Iranian newspapers شکی ندارم که اگر واقعا همه کمک کنند موفق خواهیم شد _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________.

September 18th, Dear Dr. Christopher Spence I was talking to a woman that I didn’t know about the deportation of Sara and her 16 years old son that we are trying to stop their deportations. She had tears in her eyes when she mentioned your name as someone with a big heart who could help Sara’s son. I went on www.tdsb.on.ca and now I know who you are. I don’t have any doubt that you would help all of us. Sara and her son are going to be deported to Iran on Thursday September 20th, 2012 at 11:00 pm / KLM. We are doing our best by addressing to everyone who could help them to stay with us. I would appreciate if you could give us a few minutes of your valuable time, check www.helpsara.org, see who they are and what you could do to help them specially the son who is one of your students.

September 18th, 2012 Dear Stephen Harper, PM Although I was shocked by the closure of embassies, I was absolutely not surprised when I read on news released by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada on September 7, 2012 that Canadian government finally admits that “Iran is among the world’s worst violators of human rights”. Working for awhile to convince our immigration administration that deporting refugees to Iran is also against human rights, I had some joy thinking that finally Canada was going to stop these deportations. Unfortunately I was wrong when I was informed that Sara and her 16 years old son are going to be deported on Thursday September 20th, 2012. How one should think about the way a mad, angry and humiliated regime is going to welcome and receive these innocent people that fled their home land, their family and friends just to be free and their dignity be respected. Don’t we have the right to imagine that those refugees are going to be the victim and subject of revenge especially when they are forced to go back from Canada? On first hand when these people left Iran they have been considered as betrayers by the regime. They were open and live books talking about the atrocity of human rights in Iran. I entirely agree with you when recently you announced that we should be ready and expect anything from the Iranian regime without being surprised. The same way we have to consider that eventually it is possible deportees that your administration is sending back to Iran could pay extremely high price to the limit of loosing their lives. Canada has always been the symbol of freedom, democracy and human rights. These values make that all immigrants feel being home as soon as they arrive. Let’s accomplish our duty toward that peaceful land and keep Canada the way that all of us feel it in our heart. I would like to share with you my wish, that you convince your administration to stop immediately all deportations to Iran. Especially this mother who suffers and worries so much for his 16 years old son that she has forgotten that her own life is as much in danger as her son’s life. Sara and her son are going to be deported to Iran on Thursday September 20th, 2012 at 11:00 pm / KLM. We are doing our best by addressing to everyone who could help them to stay with us. I would appreciate if you could give them a few minutes of your valuable time, check www.helpsara.org, see who they are and eventually help that their deportations be stopped.

Dear Honourable Jason Kenney,
This afternoon when I learned of a mother and her sixteen year old son who are to be deported to Iran this coming Thursday, you can expect that I was both horrified and disappointed. I was horrified to hear that a women who has endured domestic abuse and mistreatment was being sent back to suffer the very cruelty she fled from in the first place. I was disappointed in Canada, but moreover in our politicians for allowing this to happen. As of September 7, 2012, Canadian Foreign Affairs and International Trade closed the Canadian Embassy in Iran and have advised against all travel to Iran. If Iran is unsafe for Canadians, is not unsafe for all? Is the value of life dependent on one’s country of citizenship? I would really hope that these are not the values that our country has chosen to invest in. If deported to Iran, Ms. Derakhshandeh Tosarv and her minor son, will be put in danger of abuse, by a dictator regime and an abusive husband/father, and will moreover face the very real possibility of death. This is not a question of politics, but rather one of morals. This is an outright defiance of universal and natural human rights. Please restore my hope and belief in the Canadian government. One small action can change the world. Just remember that no refugee arrives in his or her country empty handed, Albert Einstein was a refugee.
Yours Truly, |
